Oh my god! I almost pissed myself when this showed up in my feed! I'm so glad to see you back in action man! I hope you're doing well! I hope that your studies are going great (akhem and that you might have some more time for making music in the future, akhem ;) )
Where do I even start with this one...It's amazing. Just wow! I personally love producing trance so I feel like I just have to ask you this: How did you make the bass?? It sounds amazing!
I feel like you've mastered everything just perfectly. That bass in the beginning cuts through the mix just right, it's got just the right amount of reverb and delay on it and then those hihats coming in and everything...Damn dude! And then that wet piano, daaamn.
Love how you play around with the lead synth at around 1:22....The lyrics...I think lyrics are one of hardest things to get right in a track since they can just kill your mix; I always struggle to find a balance between the lyrics not killing my EQing and them being understandable. But you handle that just so well! Amazing! Then the lead coming in at 2:25...how did you make that fit into the mix so well?? I feel like if I add arps into my tracks that it's just soo hard to get any square like synths to cut through as well...But you do it so effortlessly. Did you add a compressor or what??? :O
And not to mention that final drop. Amazing dude! Amazing. The production quality on this track is like something you'd hear on A State of Trance. I. am. in. love!
PS: I've still got a lot of your songs on my MP3 (yes, I actually still use that). Recently I've started a PhD, meaning that I have to travel around a lot by plane. Every time I travel in the morning hours and we get high enough Above The Clouds and the turbulence stops, I put on {Aura} and stare at the sun as it rises. It's something that is really hard to explain, but it almost makes me weepy at times.
Thanks for changing how I see the world Graham! Peace.
